Italian People Rising for Gaza: Meloni Gov. sends a naval frigate to protect its citizens on Global Sumud Flotilla
On Monday (September 22, 2025), people across Italy rose up for Gaza and Palestine inspired by the call of port workers from Genoa and the Global Sumud Flotilla.
In cities and towns across the country hundreds of thousands of students and teachers walked out of schools, trains, ports and highways were shut down and the country was paralyzed from north to south.
It was a historic mobilization the likes of which Italy has not seen in decades. Over 300,000 in Roma, with massive demonstrations in every major city.
The mobilization is continuing as we speak, there are protests continuing every day, the parliament is currently being occupied by the opposition parties demanding an intervention by the Italian Government to protect the Sumud Flotilla attacked in international waters.
