According to the 11 June-dated CNN news report, the weapon used in the 10-June coordinated attack by Tel Aviv and Washington was a precision-guided USA-made GBU-39 series, indicating the intent to destroy a key source of essential drinking water for the local Iranian population.
Article 52, “General protection of civilian objects” of the International Humanitarian Law, specifically prohibits the attack on civilian infrastructure: 1. Civilian objects shall not be the object of attack or of reprisals.
“Besides being in clear breach of the Geneva Conventions on war, the latest US-Israel attack on desalination facilities ought to be seen through the lens of genocide, as spelled out by the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide,” observed Dr Maung Zarni, FORSEA Co-founder and a Burmese genocide scholar.

Why didn’t the mainstream media make a big fuss about this news? Would there be a big fuss if Iran blew up water purification plants in Bahrain, Kuwait or Saudi Arabia from where significant number of US-Israel attacks on Iran come?”
