Neoliberal policies of the past generation, these policies have been designed to sharply concentrate wealth, enhance corporate power, undermine democratic systems, which are increasingly reduced to formalities, while the majority of the population stagnate.
Professor Chomsky discusses the issue of the rise of Asia. But in this process, democratisation in the region has been challenged by various factors and these mirror those being seen in Western democracies.
