On 1 February 2023, FORSEA co-organized and co-hosted a global protest on YouTube LIVE against the potentially criminal direct involvement of largely formerly and currently colonial/imperialist governments in Israel’s Hitlerite “physical destruction” and “depopulation” of one of its Occupied Territories – GAZA.

The Lemkin Insitute for Genocide Prevention is deeply concerned by the decision of a coalition of several nations – the United States and Germany, in concert with Australia, Austria, Canada, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom – to suspend funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). This is a serious escalation of the crisis in Gaza and follows the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) first ruling in Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the Gaza Strip (South Africa v. Israel), which many hoped would slow the genocide. Further, it represents a shift by several countries from potential complicity in genocide to direct involvement in engineered famine. It is an attack on what remains of personal security, liberty, health, and dignity in Palestine.

This compilation of pre-recorded messages of solidarity with Palestinian people follows the stand-alone recording by the world-renowned feminist scholar and black revolutionary thinker Angela Davis of the University of California at Santa Cruz.

We will also make available the recording of the only surviving post-colonial studies founder and activist Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak of India and a close Columbia University colleague of the late Palestinian exile scholar Edward Said, when the recording is completed. Gayatri-di was scheduled, but unable to, speak LIVE along with other cultural and intellectual icons including musician Roger Waters, the Hungarian-born celebrated writer, expert and physician on trauma Gábor Máté, renowned scholar and activist David Plumbo-Liu and many other international activists, because of the technical glitch that was not resolved during the LIVE rally.

FORSEA’s Burmese co-founder and a student of genocide Dr Maung Zarni also contributed to the event. His address can be viewed HERE.

At the very root of the institutionalized catastrophe for 7 million Palestinians, in the Occupied Territories of West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza lie the Zionist’s unabashedly settler colonial project of the land of Palestine – in a word THEFT – misuses of ethical and spiritual Judaism for “state, blood and soil”, systematic lies and deception promoted by the Zionist lobby, the relentless mass implant of Zionist Jews – as opposed to “Jews with conscience” – and Israel’s Nazi-like indoctrination of several generations of its youth through education.  From its inception by Eastern European-Zionists in the late 19th century, this settler colonial project has sought and, evidently, secured, the unconditional patronage of what the founding President of the World’s Zionist Congress Herzl, a wealthy newspaper man from Austria called “Mother Colony (ies)”, first in colonial Britain and since the end of WWII, the United States. (For the richly detailed personal account of how this Zionist project was pursued relentlessly, albeit on the ruins of Palestinian people, albeit with a categorically Zionist spin, see My Life (Meir autobiography) – Wikipedia ).

In the late 19th century, words such as “colonize” and “exploit” were perfectly acceptable action verbs uttered in European parliaments (for instance, the UK House of Commons. In the previous century, Church, Crown and Society had the collective consensus around trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and Slavery as consistent with Christian ethics and organized spirituality, as Eric Williams noted in his seminal Capitalism and Slavery.  Across the Atlantic, in the Thirteen Colonies, the American “Founding Fathers” many of whom were brought up in the ethical and intellectual tradition of the European Enlightenment did not find anything morally warped that their 4 July 1776-dated Declaration of Independence from the British Crown officially depicted as “savages” the Natives of the sub-continent which they were grabbing through violence and bogus treaties.

So, the world’s leading Zionists declaring “(We) will colonize Palestine” (in their conference in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on 20 June 1899) may be forgiven for parroting the language of their Christian tormentors of Europe and N America who had for centuries mistreated them as “Christ killers” (Tsarist Russia), “inferior race” (Hitler), “parasites” (Kaiser Wilhem II), or worse. But in our new ethical era of post-Holocaust world of universal declaration of human rights and the Genocide Convention, the settler colonial genocide by Israel under the patronage of the formerly “Jew-haters” of the Anglo-American-Europe is something absolutely “out of this world”, to borrow Noam Chomsky’s dismissal of Zionists’ biblical claim to Palestine.

As Angela Davis pointedly observed, the formerly persecuted people morphing into the colonizers and persecutors themselves sadly is not out of this world. It is happening in Gaza and all of Palestine.

Let that sink in.
